My Google Summer of Code 2024 project involved creating a test suite adapter to run official rustc test cases on GCC Rust. Since rustc uses a different testing framework called Compiletest, I developed a command-line tool in Rust, rusttest-to-dg, to parse rustc test cases and convert them into a format compatible with GCC's DejaGNU testing framework. - [Improving user errors & Error Code Support for GCC Rust Frontend](https://summerofcode.withgoogle.com/archive/2023/projects/PZbjvfZl): Google Summer of Code 2023 with GNU Compiler Collection (GCC). My Google Summer of Code 2023 project focused on adding error code support to the GCC Rust frontend, aligning it with rustc, the official Rust compiler. This work improved the developer experience by providing consistent error messages and codes across different Rust compiler implementations. ## Community event pages - [Open Source Connect Pakistan 2026](https://www.mmahad.com/volunteering/open-source-connect-pakistan-2026/): A community gathering focused on open-source contribution, cloud-native technologies, developer tools, and collaboration across Pakistan's technology ecosystem. - [Hacktoberfest Lahore 2025 - Secure Cloud Edition](https://www.mmahad.com/volunteering/hacktoberfest-lahore-2025/): A community-driven celebration of open source, cloud-native technologies, and cybersecurity.
